WHITE, coming real soon - email for more info
Colours and sizes come and go, stock is in high demand worldwide so choice can be frustratingly limited at times. Order what you want and we'll chase it up if we don't have it on hand (they are usually only a couple of days away). Murphy's Law says that even if we have 100 helmets on the shelf, we won't have the one you want.
I've travelled around 3,000km in my Doom Gold Commander 2, that's the only colour available at the time, I would prefer white but the importer doesn't have them.
We've been slow to take them on as getting hold of stock has been patchy and I hate doing things half arsed.
To the helmet.
Fit - Comfortable straight out of the box, sizing is accurate and feels very 'Shoei' like. Cheek pads are well cut.
Airflow - as good as any helmet I've used.
Visor Action - Like many others, this mob have moved to one finger central actuation. It takes a while to get used to but works fine. The buttons could be a little more glove freindly to help in the first few days of use.
Internal sunshield - Drops low enough compared to others. Tends to be a little on the grey rather than toward the brown spectrum for my liking (this seems to be a common finding of sub $1000 helmets). Actutation and lever position is excellent
Chin Strap - Well positioned but uses Stainless steel Double Dee rings which I'm a bit 'over' after using ratchet closure for the last few years.
Wind noise - I can honestly say that compared to other helmets I've trialled lately, this is top shelf.
Peak - Stable with no whistle.
Fogging - I trialled it witout fitting the pinlock initially... big error. I got caught in some reallt crappy weather and couldn't see jack. The helmet is Pinlock dependent.
Comms - a snazzy little hole on the left side allows comms units cabels to enter the hat behind the mount.
Adaptability - Road, Off-road (designed to work with goggles) and Adventure modes allows heaps of flexibilty.
