They are well tailored, amazingly ventilated and comfortable. Held have really thought these pants out. Vents communicate with each other to get the best air movement. The inner-outer liner idea is a cracker.

Use the Goretex® liners as outer rain pants, to keep the outers from "wetting out" in really dismal conditions. Imagine wearing rain pants yet keeping the vents of the pants open underneath!

 Ladies cut available, just ask.

You are welcome to exchange the gear for a different size

Question – Do the Torno EVO pants represent an ‘Evolution’? Is it an improvement on Torno 2?

Fit – feel better than version 2, waist band and straps work well. They stay up better. Waist closure clip stiff but positive, improved from V2.

Z liner clip in. As with Carese EVO, I’m yet to be convinced that the clip in is better than zip in. Maybe cynically, I see it as a cost cutting exercise rather than evolutionary improvement. Tucking the blue tabs away into the button holes is fiddly.

Longer leg zipper, wider cuff and Velcro tab all very welcome touches.

Gore Stretch on Liner/Shell feel great, a very positive addition. Yet to wear it in the rain. Extra colour and reflective elements make for a more visible and stylish look.

Thigh vent – probably doesn’t ‘scoop’ air as well as V2  but works ok.

Front waist vent – an interesting addition. I’m not sure what the thinking behind it is. I guess it’s for the extra stretch in the waist band above it. I hope the retaining elastic endures.

Vent Safety Straps – reassuring and value adding.

Linings -  I felt no appreciable effect of 37,5. The Right internal breast pocket is lined with a non-breathable taffeta which sits directly behind the chest vent ….Why?

Hip Armour – D30 feels better than SASTEC and will probably last better. Possibly more comfortable. Great to see hip armour standard

Knee Armour – adjustability is fabulous , V2 always seemed too low for most users.

Crotch stretch panel – good work, pants more comfortable and likely to be more durable.

Braces/Suspenders clips – I’ve never liked the Held braces, they always get twisted as the connector swivel on the buttons at the waist. Issues with the button pulling out may not have been solved as there seems not to be reinforcement behind the fitting. Covers to prevent scratching is positive.

Overall, the answer to my first question is  - Absolutely! Where I think Carese EVO had the opportunity to ‘perfect’ the design but fell short, Torno EVO have not…Congratulations, they have evolved into something I’ll be proud to wear and sell.

It's can be a bit nervy ordering stuff like expensive clobber off the web, I get it.

That's why I don't list the stock on hand. We need to sneak up on this and get it as right as we can first time.

So, what we do is communicate back and forth 'til we both think we are on the same page.

Exchange is always never a problem as long as the goods come back in new condition.

Not all sizes and style are held (sorry....) in Oz all the time and Murphy plays havoc with any forward planning. Held are a huge company in the EU and US so we tend to get the left overs (as usual).

The best part of this gear is the cut of the liners, it was the clincher for me.

The inner liner is cut to fit inside as we are used to or over the outside of the jacket or pants.  It makes so much sense to keep the jacket and pants from 'wetting out', getting cold and taking forever to dry.

I wear Forma Terra EVO or Sidi Gore Adventure and have no problem fitting the pants over the boots and the putting on the Liners on the outside of the pants when it starts to rain.

Bigger, heavier Motorcross boots will fit but the zipper won't close.

5 star I purchased the Held jacket and trouser about 3 months ago. The outfit has been fully tried in all conditions and it continues to exceed my expectations. Top design and materials. Outstanding ventilation and adjustable whilst riding. The removable Gortex liner is a game changer. The best water proof gear I’ve ever used. Relatively light weight yet tough. I’ve come off a few times on trails at low speed and there is no damage to the gear. I can’t speak highly enough of Held gear and would definitely buy it again. Andy was very helpful taking time to answer all my questions and to ensure the correct sizing. He is very knowledgeable .G I’m super happy
