These things work and there are so few viable alternatives.
My only complaints with this product is the British (lack of) style in the design of the controller unit. It's bog ugly and difficult to find an unobtrusive place to mount it.
The superglue they supply with the kit is dumb. Do yourself a favour and get a gel version. It won't drip everywhere and has a 10 second rather than instand bond. Don't ask how I know, it will start me swearing again!
The grip length can be trimmed if required and has open ends so that bar end weights can be fitted.

The Battery Saving Mode protects against flat batteries. If you forget to turn the switch off, it will do it for you!
